FAQs
are you doing virtual or in-person sessions?
At this time I am offering virtual therapy sessions and limited in-person sessions in the city of Anaheim Hills. I conduct therapy through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform called doxy.me. This allows for ease of access to mental health services for clients all across CA (and works great when sneaking sessions in during naptime!). If you’d like to see if I have availability during my in-office day, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I am currently contracted as an in-network provider with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford, and Quest. For any out-of-network plans, I am happy to provide a superbill receipt for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Determination of reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services is made by insurance companies, and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
what is your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours advanced notice for cancellation of sessions. If your appointment is canceled with less than 48 hours notice, a late cancellation fee will be charged. As a parent and human, I understand that life does not always allow for notice of illness and emergencies. I will always attempt to offer a rescheduling opportunity to avoid fees and offer one free no show/late cancellation.
where do you provide therapy services?
I am personally located in Orange County, CA. I am licensed in the state and therefore, can provide services to anyone currently located in California. This means that if you plan to go on vacation or relocate outside of the state, we will have to postpone our sessions together until you are back in California.
do you offer free consultation?
I am happy to offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions and see if we feel like a good fit. I believe that there is so much power in a good therapeutic relationship and I want you to feel confident in your choice to pursue your goals with me.
what kind of payment is accepted?
Payments are due at the time of service. Your patient portal will allow for a credit card to be kept on file for automatic charges. Each session will be billed automatically 15 minutes into your session. Late cancellation/no show fees will be charged to the same card.
how long does therapy last?
A standard individual therapy session lasts 55 minutes, while a couple session lasts between 75-90 minutes. Couples therapy session length will be determined collaboratively based on needs.
In the bigger picture, your therapy journey lasts as long as you need. For some, this looks like weekly sessions for years. For others, this may be for a few months. We will work together to craft goals and help you create change. Our time together ends when you feel empowered and prepared to meet life’s challenges with the tools learned.
